Magician

The Magician card seems to be the apt card in the current environment globally.

I was reading the newspaper this morning and all it had was bad news, a financial mayhem, people losing jobs, companies closing down, stock markets crashing, business at its lowest and you wonder if this is worst and whether tomorrow will ever be ok.

In this scenario, the Magician card simply could make you feel optimistic in a pessimistic scenario.

The symbol of the snake is the Uroborus snake, which relates to the recycling of the universe, what goes up must come down principle or vice-versa. It is about giving birth to oneself from nothing like the goddess giving birth unaided by the male. It also relates to unrefined material like the ingredients of a dish before it is cooked. The cooking gives it the refinement and the taste.
The Magic card as I call it directs our senses to the resources available with us, this is one card where you see the cups, pentacles, the swords and the wands. The serpent also denotes the infinite possibilities and the universal nature of existence and the yin and the yang of energy.
When you feel all is lost, look at the resources available with you, the mental aptitiude, the physical body that is capable of labor, the spirit within you that can drive your action and the material world/earth that provides multiple opportuinities. If you can find a recipe to put in all the right ingredients in the right quantities, you can serve a sumptuous dish everyday that makes your daily bread. Yet, we are often depressed and frustrated by the limitations, the environment and the people around us.
So let the Magician drive you today to bring abundance in your life.
I practice feng shui and the three legged toad is a symbol of fortune that can be placed under a table to attract better fortune. I am not sure if the three legged table is related but I see it as the trinity, heaven, earth and man energy that are required to harmonize life.
At this time, the Magician card is a card of hope that reminds us to be hopeful and work in faith with the resources in our life to create magic and results.
If we can count our blessings rather than what is missing, we can find the strength to take the next step and move on.
